Session 2: Saturday April 27 9 AM - Sunday April 28, 12 PM, Camp Wanocksett

You must attend both sessions to complete the course.
This is required training for those who wish to fill the new Leave No Trace Position of Responsibility in their unit. For youth who are going to fill a unit’s Leave No Trace Trainer Position, Nashua Valley Council strongly recommends that the troop pay for this required training.
Course participants will learn the concepts of Leave No Trace and prepare to teach Leave No Trace curriculum in a variety of settings. Workshop topics include the underlying ethics and seven principles of Leave No Trace:
• Plan Ahead and Prepare
• Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces
• Dispose of Waste Properly
• Leave What You Find
• Minimize Campfire Impacts
• Respect Wildlife
• Be Considerate of Other Visitors
Graduates will be qualified to conduct Leave No Trace Awareness Sessions and teach Leave No Trace skills and ethics at all Scouting Levels. The course is for Scouts 14 years old or older and all Scouters.
Participants will need a current Medical form (please identify any food allergies),personal gear for day
hiking (daypack & water bottle), clothing appropriate for weather and season (sturdy walking/hiking
footwear), mess kit (plate/hot beverage cup/utensils), sleeping gear (sleeping bag / pad) and a tent
