Hollywood at Split Rock is a hit at the Box Office!

January 4-6 was a weekend to remember for many of our lodge members.  The Winter Weekend had a theme of Hollywood at Split Rock in which everything from activities to registration gifts were movie themed.

On Friday, members arrived and received their pre-registration gift (a small golden man statue).  After delivering their belongings to their cabins, lodge members gathered in the dining hall for leisurely card and board games as well as some cinematic entertainment and snacks.  However, many were tired from the long week, so a lot of people went to sleep early.

Saturday was to be a fun filled movie-themed activity fest.  After a delicious breakfast served by the kitchen crew, lodge members enjoyed a wide variety of activities.  For those who were looking for a relaxing weekend, the heated dining hall was always open with ready-to-go hot cocoa and coffee.  Throughout the day in the dining hall, members could enjoy movies that were playing on a projector screen.

However, there were also many outdoor activities for the energized Scouts such as Quidditch, Capture the "Indiana Jones" Idol, and an icy cold "Titanic" lake jump for the ones who were courageous enough to do it.

After a long day and a delicious supper prepared by the kitchen crew, scouts once again broke out the board games and played them late into the night.

On Sunday, as usual, there was a business meeting and paraphernalia sale.  Then, after cleaning up their cabins, lodge members went home satisfied with the winter weekend they had gone to, and eager for the next one.
