The contingent be departing Boston on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, and return home on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. The anticipated cost is $1900 per person.
High Adventure
Many older Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Explorers, and Venturers consider high adventure the highlight of their outdoor Scouting experiences. With guidance from their adult leaders, they can plan and safely carry out high-adventure treks using Leave No Trace techniques. Older youth seek out these programs; it's what keeps them high on Scouting. High adventure challenges and inspires them—and their leaders—and broadens their appeal for Scouting. This is why Scoutmasters and Advisors must make high-adventure opportunities a priority, promoting participation by unit members who are qualified for these elite outdoor activities.

High Adventure Directory
The BSA high-adventure program directory is a service to all units desiring to locate a high-adventure program opportunity at any local council. The directory lists all council-operated high-adventure trekking programs that span at least five nights and six days. A few programs of lesser duration are included as specialty adventure programs.
