The two Ice Storm Clean Up days the lodge is hosting at Camp Wanocksett are approaching quickly. By now, most of us are just starting to see the devastation which was hidden under a season of snow in our back yards. Now Wanocksett needs our help.
Details about the two clean up days can be found in an earlier post on the lodge website. Anyone interested in helping out is welcome to join us in helping clean up camp on either April 11th or April 18th. A video has been uploaded showing some of the areas of camp which need help, and has been embedded below. Please share this video with your friends to help spread the word about these clean up days. See you there!
The lodge will be holding their annual banquet on March 15, 2009 at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Leominster, MA. The banquet will start at 6:00pm, and will be followed shortly by food service at 6:30pm.
Members must have their pre-registration for the banquet post-marked prior to March 7th. The Lodge Secretary will be at the council Merit Badge College on March 7th to accept hand delivered registrations. This form will allow you to pre-register for the event. Family and friends are invited to attend.
The banquet has always been a fun time for some great food, socializing with lodge members, and the year in review by the lodge chief. Continuing our support for the Lodge Endowment fund, we will be holding our second annual Patch Auction. 20 numbered 2008 endowment patches (#11-30) will be auctioned off in a silent auction. 10 numbered patches (#1-10) will be auctioned off in a live auction. Non-numbered patches will also be sold at the end of the banquet. All proceeds go towards the Lodge Endowment fund which was started to support the council.
