As we embark on the 88th camping season at Camp Wanocksett, unit leaders are invited to attend the annual kick-off dinner. This is a chance to get excited about the 2012 Wanocksett Experience, receive the 2012 Leaders's Guide and medical form, and get all of the information you need for you and your troop for the upcoming summer camp season.

Applications for the Councilor in Training Program at Nashua Valley Council's Summer camps are now being accepted for the 2012 Season. The program helps build leadership, training, and customer service skills within Scouts. Scouts will then bring the skills learned through the program back to their unit to help strenthen the year-round program. Interested applicants must register prior to April 15, 2012.

Visitors to Camp Wanocksett should be aware that Monadnock State Park has introduced new access fees. All visitors accessing the state park via the Gilson Pond entrance, the trail head closest to Camp Wanocksett, are required to pay a park admission fee of $4 per person. In the past the Gilson Pond entrance was a free access point to Mount Monadnock. If you are planning on climbing the mountain during your stay at Camp Wanocksett, please adjust your plans to include this access fee. If the toll booth is not staffed the day of your visit, payment may be deposited at the self-service pay station.

Effective immediately, Nashua Valley Council is requesting that visitors to Camp Wanocksett not bring outside firewood into the camp.
