2010 Annual Lodge Banquet
The lodge will be holding their annual banquet on March 14, 2010 at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Leominster, MA.  The banquet will start at 6:00pm, and ending at 8:30pm.

Members must have their pre-registration for the banquet post-marked prior to March 5th.  Going to events.nashuavalleybsa.org will allow you to pre-register for the event.  Registering online will both save postage, and expedite the process.  As always family and friends are invited to attend.  The cost will be $18.00 per person.  You can also mail the form, mailed recently to all lodge members, to the Lodge Secretary.

The banquet has always been a fun time for some great food, socializing with lodge members, and the year in review by the lodge chief.  This year’s theme will be One Hundred Years of Scouting, so be sure to brush up on your scouting history for the trivia game.  Continuing our support for the Lodge Endowment fund, we will be holding our annual Patch Auction.  Like last year, we'll be holding a live auction and silent auction for numbered versions of GML's 2010 endowment patch featuring the Ice storm clean up of both camps following the recent storm in 2008.  Non-numbered patches will also be sold at the end of the banquet.  All proceeds go towards the Lodge Endowment fund which was started to support the council.

GML309 Troop Reps Invited to Camp Wanocksett Kick Off Dinner

The Grand Monadnock Lodge #309 would like to extend an invitation to the 2010 Camp Wanocksett Kick Off Dinner to Nashua Valley Council Order of the Arrow Troop Representatives.

altThe Order of the Arrow Troop Representative is the liaison between the lodge and your troop. He helps coordinate the annual troop election, promotes the Order and its events to troop members who are members of the lodge, and helps explain what the order is to those who may not know. This position is a recognized leadership position, for the Star, Life, and Eagle ranks.

At the 2010 Camp Wanocksett kick-off dinner, the OA Executive Board will be hosting a roundtable discussion with OA Troop Reps and Senior Patrol Leaders about the Camp Wanocksett Experience, and ways in which the OA can help your troop. Your OA Troop Representative can attend the kick-off meal and program free of charge courtesy of the lodge. (Please note: This only applies to NVC Troop Reps)

Scoutmasters should register the members of their troop who will be attending the dinner at http://Events.NashuaValleyBSA.org/, or by call the council office at (978) 534-3532 by Friday, February 12, 2010.

The lodge vice chief for your Troop's district will also be on hand at the kick-off dinner to talk to you about scheduling your annual unit election. Bring your troop calendar with you.

We look forward to an amazing year as the BSA turns 100, and a memorable 86th camping season at Camp Wanocksett.
